About Us

In Character Info
Who are we?
Following incidents of dangerous creatures being smuggled from Tural to various other corners of the Star, Clan Centurio, the Eorzean Grand Companies, the Dawn Hunt, the Guildship of Sharlayan, and the Vipers of Tural decided to each provide support for a joint venture to address issues like this to ensure easier trading of information and resources. This joint venture was called the Serpent's Spear, and the various groups contracted Seye Qhesu and Eir fon Nalbina to secure grounds and supplies to assist the organization.
What kind of Hunts do we take?
Any and all that are issued by a verified organization designated to handle hunts. These range from the basic hunts all the way to S Ranks. Additionally, we handle requests that are made to help research organizations that need beasts captured or hunted to restore balance to the ecosystem.
What do members get?
Members of the Serpent's Spear are identified by coins that are issued upon acceptance into the group. These coins contain a Serpent on the front, and markings on the back to show affiliated groups that pertain to the individual. The type of material used for the coin determines the rank of the Hunter, with Greenhorns starting with wooden coins. Regardless of rank, all hunters of Serpent's Spear have access to their special selection of goods, free room and board, and access to unique Hunt bills.
What are the ranks?
Greenhorns: All hunters start out at the Greenhorn rank. Greenhorns only have access to the lowest levels of hunts for personal challenges. They are able to take part in group hunts, however, with more powerful beasts which will help them increase their standing with Serpent's Spear. These hunters are identified by the wooden coins they are given, which are used as the mold for their higher rank coins.
Huntsman: These hunters have proven their mettle to both the Lodge, and their allies. Identified by the Steel Coins that were cast in the mold made from the wooden coin base, they are able to handle up to Advanced (3 Star) Ranked Hunts on their own. A testament of the trust placed in them by the Serpent's Spear Lodge to handle themselves accordingly.
Elite Huntsman: These are the experienced and veteran hunters. Those who either already held a rank within the Vipers of Tural and Clan Centurio, or those who have faced down a significant number of hunts. These hunters are identified by Silver coins with a special Emblem to indicate they higher status. As a testiment to their prowess, these hunters are able to take on up to Elite (B Rank) Hunts on their own.
Elders: Among these hunters are the founding members of Serpent's Spear. Those who were hand selected by the founding organization to help put together this project. Identified by gold coins, there are very few of these hunters and they are authorized to act on behalf of the Clan Leader in regards to Lodge matters. Indeed, they are often alongside the Clan Leader leading the charge against the elusive and dangerous A and S Rank Hunt Marks.
Clan Leader: This poor unfortunate soul has been selected to be the head of the clan and oversee all matters requiring a single voice. Their coin is made of one of the most valuable metals, Titanium Gold Ore.

F.A.Q.
Do we need to join the FC?
Nope! We allow people to join our community without being a member of the in game Free Company. All you need to be able to do is join our Discord and our Cross World Linkshell.
Are non FC members able to move up in rank?
Yes! All members, regardless of FC status are able to achieve the Elite Huntsman rank. All ranks beyond that are for the FC lead and founding members.
What kind of system do you use for events?
We use Pathfinder Second Edition, with some homebrew rules. Essentially just rules to remove things that don't work with running things inside of FF14. We still use the official core Pathfinder rules to create our characters and use Pathbuilder to make them.
Do I need experience with TTRPGs to join?
Not at all! No experience with Pathfinder or any other TTRPG is required. For those new to Pathfinder we will run a test event so you can get the hang of it and ask questions, as well as offer Character Building assistance to help recreate your character in the Pathfinder system.
Are you recruiting?
So this is a bit harder to answer. We are more passive in our recruiting due to the fact that we want to remain a small intimate group. So those we mesh with, or those who are interested we'll likely welcome into our fold, but we're not going to be going out of our way to recruit by any means necessary.
Do you have a FC House?
That we do and all are welcome to RP in it! It is located in the Goblet Ward 16 Plot 36, and is ICly located there as well! The house is always open and we plan to add public FC rooms as well.
How do I join?
Either reach out to Tsenno Se'senovoto, Seye Qhesu, or Eir Fon-nalbina in game or follow the discord link below.
